What We’re Drinking – Murrieta’s Well “The Whip” White Blend 2015

The color is pale, barely a straw yellow. Vigonier and Semillon shine through on the nose, redolent with honeysuckle and guava. Sauvignon Blanc makes a showing with a bit of cut grass in the back. On the palate, tropical fruits, guava and pineapple, join crisp pear and hints of white grapefruit. The mouth-feel is well-rounded. This is a very pretty wine, floral and fruity, but with enough body to stand up to full-flavored foods. Drink with spicy chicken dishes. Highly Recommended. 90 points. DBH
