As someone that has been self-employed or working for small restaurants for most of my life I’ve gone without healthcare at times. Plans for singles or families can be exorbitant, simply out of reach for some.
Sulfites are not a black and white issue and I am certainly not suggesting that all wines should be made with no added sulfites. What I am enthusiastic about is breaking through the industry myth that wines made with minimal sulfites are of a lesser quality or are only for short term drinking.
Many studies extol the health benefits of wine, but American wine labels and advertisements rarely mention them. Is a neo-prohibitionist, alcohol-hating government to blame?
