What We’re Drinking: 2016 M de Minuty Rosé

A classic Provencal pale salmon-pink, this wine has a slight jasmine aroma at first, with a nice chalky minerality on the nose and on the palate. A streak of spiciness weaves its way throughout the tasting experience, along with moderate acidity. On the end-palate dark red fruit gives way to a finish that is sweet yet tangy. This wine is great on its own. It also seems to get bigger with food, holding its own well in a pairing with mild Mediterranean-style appetizers and small plates. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED — BSE
