2011 Rodney Strong “Chalk Hill” Chardonnay

The nose offers delicious aromas of baking pears in puff pastry. Rich on the palate, it has baked pears and spices and baking bread. Citrus makes an appearance on the mid-palate, a light touch of lemon meringue adding acid that lingers, counter-balancing the baked flavors, through the long finish. Mouth-feel is rounded and very smooth. Pair this with stuffed pork chops.
