Congratulations to Palate Press’ own W. Blake Gray, winner of the prestigious Ramos Pinto Online Wine Columnist of the Year, in the 2013 Louis Roederer Wine Writers’ Awards. Blake, a Columnist for Palate Press since 2010, was nominated for stories like Darth Vader is My Lover: Revalations about Brettanomyces in Wine, Lets Call it Freshness: A Less Scary Way of Discussing Acidity in Wine, and Wine Snobs Unite!
Blake was one of four Palate Press Finalists in this year’s Roederer Awards. Other finalists included Evan Dawson and Simon Woolf, for Meerlust Estate Emerging Wine Writer of the Year, and Palate Press, for Domaines Ott International Wine Website of the Year. Congratulations, also, to Evan Dawson, and every Palate Press Columnist, Contributor, and Editor, for the wonderful work that led to those nominations.
