2009 Allegrini Palazzo della Torre Veronese IGT

88.jpg

Rustic and deep, this is a good wine at a great price. Cherries, coffee, and unsweetened chocolate leap up from the glass, joined by ints of herbs, to make a very pleasant nose. Red fruits, coffee, tobacco, and a bit of licorice all come through at once on the palate. The finish has tart fruits and a bit of bitter almond. Tannins are a bit rustic. Drink with ravioli with a good red sauce. Recommended. 88 points.
