This wine is produced by a remarkable cooperative of 224 families that was founded in 1908 in the Northern Italian mountainous territory of Alto Adige, also known as Südtirol. It’s a lovely every-day wine made with indigenous lagrein grapes. Red fruit and flowers in the aroma. Sweet red fruit and an uncomplicated palate. Mild tannins and acidity. Good for weeknight dinners, especially at this moderate 13.5% alcohol level.
