2010 Graffigna “Reserve Centenario” Malbec

Coffee and milk chocolate, with blueberries in the background, waft up from the glass, making a very pleasant nose. On the palate, blackberries, blueberries, and coffee lead, with pepper and the tiniest hint of vanilla in the background. Blackberries fade and lavender joins blueberry and coffee on the mid-palate. A bit of salinity shows from mid-palate through the finish. Tannins are dusty, acids well in balance. The mouth-feel is lush, the fruits rich and fruity, rather than syrupy. This is a very nice bottle of wine that would pair nicely with a New York Strip. This is a good wine and a great value, and for that it is Highly Recommended (89-91). DH
