In this very moderately-price California chardonnay, a nice herby aroma is surprisingly followed by a feeling of sweetness on the front of the tongue, which dissipates into oaky peachiness in a medium body, with some butteriness. End-palate of apricot, minerality, some hints of chalk and lively acidity along with the fruit in the finish make it tempting to keep sipping. And there’s a jaunty screwcap to make it easy.
